Periscope joins forces with Make-A-Wish to tell an important story

We teamed up with Make-A-Wish Minnesota for the second year in a row to create a heartwarming video series documenting one family’s brave fight against a rare, inherited immunodeficiency

While it’s no secret that love is at the center of our work at Periscope, our CEO and President Liz Ross takes it a step further. For the last two years, Liz has chaired Make-A-Wish Minnesota’s marketing committee, leveraging both her connections and Periscope’s production talent and resources to make magic happen for children with critical illnesses.

As part of the work we produce for Make-A-Wish Minnesota’s annual Wish Ball gala, Periscope was honored to meet and document the story of a local wish family with three children battling chronic granulomatous disease (CGD). Their journey is inspiring, impactful and important. It is humbling to share the stories of families fighting these diseases, and creating these documentary-style films is a true honor.

“Make-A-Wish has long been one of my favorite organizations. What Make-A-Wish offers children and families is, simply, hope. And hope is a powerful element in the treatment and healing journeys these kids are on. As the mother of three small children, I am always moved and inspired by families as they walk these difficult paths with grace and purpose. Serving on the board of directors is so personally fulfilling, and for Periscope to be able to create these beautiful films helps us to deliver on our mission to Do Things People Love.” -Liz Ross, President & CEO at Periscope

This year’s Wish Ball shattered records, raising over $1 million on behalf of Minnesotan children facing critical illnesses and proving that where there’s a wish, there’s a way.
