Face Sweaters: The creative way we’re meeting the coldest weather in a generation

01.31.19

In an effort to survive the Polar Vortex and have some fun in the process, Periscope joined forces with Alex Bogusky to launch these crazy, custom-made sweaters … for your face.

"Look us in the eye and tell us this isn’t the most innovative product you’ve seen all year." Oliver McAteer, Campaign US

From record-setting cold temperatures comes a ridiculous winter accessory that's got Campaign US and The Egotist talking.

Face Sweaters are the warm, fuzzy, power move of a garment that’ll keep your face from falling off in the midst of these dangerously cold temperatures sweeping the North.

Now, we’re sure you’re wondering … why? To that we say: Why not? Also: It’s really cold. We’ve been holed up inside for a long time. And our Minneapolis office includes expats — including one Brazilian who grew up wearing Speedos and simply cannot handle this minus-50 degree nonsense. Plus, doing fun, ridiculous sh*t just for the hell of it is something to be celebrated.

Even Crispin Porter Bogusky’s chief creative engineer Alex Bogusky helped bring Face Sweaters to life in expressing his own sympathy for our weather misfortune. Aww, don’t you feel warmer already?

"Ski masks have never been able to ascend to their rightful place in the pantheon of fashion... we're simply giving these snuggly garments the social acceptance that they deserve." Alex Bogusky
