Claytronics is a technology concept that relies on nano-sized computers that can join together to form interactive 3D objects. Basically imagine a flat wall of these nano-sized computers adapting to create a sink when you "ask" it to...and then returning to a flat wall when you're done. A crazy concept...but one actively being pursued by Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
