Behind a Tiger Woods-esque score of 62 (9 under par), Periscope won the 2009 Mixed Doubles Championship at the Advertising Federation Golferoo. And<br /> liked it.
"It's certainly fun to win," said team captain Lori Sharbono. "It's so much more fun to completely dominate."
The annual event was held July 17 at Braemar Golf Course in Edina, MN and featured 24 teams of advertising agencies and affiliated businesses.
Other Periscope team members included lone male Chris Janowiec, Sonia Hagensick and one non-Periscopean, Ellen Hinrichs, from Minco, Inc. Janowiec received a distinction for sinking the longest putt. Hagensick was honored for hitting the women's longest drive.
Said Sharbono, "Last year, we had a more gender-balanced team and couldn't quite get the job done. This year we found the right combination for future dominance ... three women and one man. Yes, that sounds about right not only for Golferoo, but for most things in life."
