Let the celebration begin. The Twins’ season may be over, but their commercials are still a big hit. Periscope took home an Emmy in the single spot commercial category for their Minnesota Twins “Hair” spot. The spot plays up the unique attributes of Twins stars, including Joe Mauer with his sideburns, Carl Pavano with his mustache and Denard Span with his beard. Jumping on board with the lucky locks theory, Gardy and Tom Kelly debut their freshly cut mullets in hopes that it will bring them the same good fortune it did Mauer, Pavano and Span. Set to the tune of the ’70s, it’s a fun spot that plays on “the folklore in the follicle.” Check out the spot for yourself under Work.
