If there were a Good Character Hall of Fame, Harmon Killebrew would be the first inductee. Be it a towering home run or a ribbon-cutting for a new community ballpark he helped build, Harmon Killebrew was not only a legendary ball player, but a legendary person.
And to celebrate a man of his caliber, the Harmon Killebrew Foundation and Periscope worked tirelessly—just as Harmon would have—to create an event that would honor his legacy the best way possible.
The event was the 8th Annual Harmon Killebrew Classic, held on June 29th at Target Field. Although Harmon wasn’t around to share in the festivities, his spirit was alive and well in everything that went into the event.
Starting with the hard work by Periscope’s Brand Advocacy team, and followed by virtually every other department including Creative, Design, Digital, Project Management and Broadcast, Periscope put in the long hours necessary to pull off an event like this.
“Periscope can be proud of what they helped accomplish for the Harmon Killebrew Foundation,” said Harmon Killebrew Foundation Executive Director Kelly McDyre. “So many Periscopians and departments touched this event—it’s a testament to the vertical integration that sets them apart from other agencies. I told them what we needed, and they delivered in spades.”
From the event program to the full visual experience that awaited them at both the dinner and the golf outing, Periscope’s Brand Advocacy, Design, Digital, Creative, Project Management and Broadcast departments teamed up to pull together an event that would have made The Killer proud.
“You know, when the dinner was over and the golf had wrapped up, I was able to step back and admire just how flawlessly everything turned out. Harmon would have loved it. Periscope hit a home run for Harmon Killebrew. Well done.”
